It usually involves moving services, sometimes removing a wall, always coordinating electrics, plumbing, plastering, flooring and worktop templating in the right order. Handling all of it under one point of contact is what stops a kitchen fit dragging on for months.
Opening up the space
Many Sheffield kitchens benefit more from removing the wall to the dining room than from new doors. Where that is the right answer, the structural design, steel, Building Control notice and making-good are all part of the same job rather than a separate trade you have to organise.
Cabinetry, worktops and appliances
You can supply the kitchen yourself, use a supplier you have already chosen, or have it sourced through trade accounts. Worktops are templated after the units are level and fixed, which is the only reliable way to get tight joints in stone and quartz.

How long does a kitchen renovation take?+
Most kitchens complete in 4–8 weeks, with stone worktop templating and lead times usually the deciding factor.
Can you remove the wall between the kitchen and dining room?+
Yes. Structural calculations, the Building Control notice, the steel and the making-good are handled as part of the project.
Can I supply my own units and appliances?+
Yes — all of it, some of it, or none of it. I will be straightforward about where trade sourcing saves you money and where it does not.
Will I be without a kitchen for the whole job?+
Usually for two to four weeks of it. A temporary sink and appliance arrangement elsewhere in the house is worth setting up before the strip-out.
